Altitude Construction
Another Room, Just Outside
A deck is the cheapest square footage you'll ever add to a house, and the part of it your family will actually live on. We frame them to code on a proper foundation and finish them in the material that fits how much upkeep you want to sign up for.
Solid Underfoot for Decades
A deck is a structure, and the part you can't see is what keeps it safe. Footings go in below the frost line, framing is built to code and inspected, and the material — pressure-treated lumber, composite, or hardwood — is chosen to resist rot, warping, and insects. No bounce, no sag, no soft boards a few summers in.
Warranties in Writing
Material warranties run from 10 to 25 years depending on what you build with, and our labor carries a one-year warranty. We'll tell you which warranty comes with which material while you're still deciding, not after.
Wood, Composite, or Hardwood
Classic wood, low-maintenance composite, or an exotic hardwood, each in a range of colors and finishes. From there it's layout: multiple levels, built-in seating, lighting, and the railing system that suits the house. We'll price a couple of versions so you can see the trade-offs.
One to Three Weeks on Site
Size, complexity, and custom features set the timeline. Footings, framing, decking, and the finish work are handled by the same crew, every phase is built to pass inspection, and you'll know what's happening on each day they're there.
Money Back at Resale
A deck adds living space at a fraction of what an addition costs, and it's one of the few projects buyers can see the value of immediately. Industry estimates put the return at roughly 70 to 80% of what you spend, recovered at resale.
Veteran-Owned and Family-Run
Altitude Construction is veteran-owned and family-operated. You deal with the people whose name is on the truck, from the first walkthrough to the last board.
Our process
Our Decking Installation Process
Four steps from the first conversation to the finished deck, with materials, timing and cost all settled before anyone picks up a tool.
-
Step 01
Detailed Consultation and Design
We start by getting clear on how you'll actually use the deck — how many people on it, where the sun lands, what it opens onto. Then we put design ideas in front of you and go through materials, styles and timing so nothing is left assumed.
-
Step 02
Transparent Quoting and Scheduling
With the design agreed, you get a quote with nothing tucked away in it and a schedule set out plainly. We keep you posted as the dates firm up so the build fits around your week.
-
Step 03
Expert Installation and Craftsmanship
There are decades of experience across the crew, and it shows in the framing more than anywhere else. Footings, frame, boards and railings all go in to code, in top-grade material, because the part you can't see is what holds the rest up.
-
Step 04
Completion Walkthrough and Satisfaction Assurance
We walk the finished deck with you in detail and we want to hear what you think. You get care instructions before we go, so it still looks right in five years' time.
Common questions
Decking Installations FAQs
The questions that come up most often before a deck build starts.
What Decking Materials Do You Offer?
Wood and composite, across a range that covers most tastes and most budgets. We'll go through how each one ages and what it'll ask of you down the line before you commit to either.
How Long Does a Deck Take to Build?
Two to seven days for most projects, depending on the scope and how involved the design is.
Do You Offer a Warranty on Decking?
We do — a year on our labor and 25 years on the material, so the build and what went into it are both covered.
Can You Help with the Design and Layout?
Yes. We design the deck with you so it does what you need it to and sits properly against the house, rather than looking like it was bolted on afterwards.
What Are Your Payment Terms?
Three payments: a deposit to book the job, a second on the first day of labor, and the balance once the deck is finished.
Is Financing Available?
Yes. We offer flexible payment plans, so the deck can get built without the whole cost landing at once.

A little bit about us
Sixty years in business, and we still handle the whole job ourselves — design, installation and the upkeep that keeps it looking right years later. Our crew has worked properties all over the area, and we treat every yard the way we'd treat one on our own street.
We build with durable, low-waste materials wherever we can, and we'd rather take an extra day than hand back work we aren't proud of. We're glad to be part of this community, and we'd like to earn a spot on your property.
